Welcome to the Swarm intelligence and AI Lab
The objective of Swarm-sensor Lab at the Institute of Computer Science at Georg-August-University Göttingen is to investigate swarm intelligence and its applications including AI ethics. This includes designing and developing methodologies for collaborative thinking, and enhancing decision-making processes.
Swarm intelligence, inspired by the collective behavior of organisms like ants and birds, provides a model for how multiple agents can work together in a decentralized way to achieve complex goals.
By applying these principles for AI ethics, the lab aims to create systems that can make ethical decisions collectively and distributedly, incorporating diverse perspectives.
High-Performance Hardware
Our laboratory is equipped with powerful, high-performance workstations built to handle demanding AI and swarm-based workloads. Each workstation is powered by NVIDIA RTX 4080 GPUs, enabling students and researchers to efficiently train deep learning models, run complex simulations, and process large datasets. This specialized hardware infrastructure provides essential, hands-on resources for academic projects, seminars, and thesis research in AI, swarm intelligence, and network systems.
